My new go-to piece of dating advice.
I have never been very good at giving any form of dating advice so I am leaving it to the pro: Taylor Swift. Say what you may about her music, but she knows what she is talking about.
Her entire album Red is absolute perfection. Make sure to take a listen.
But in the mean time, if you need to get over someone, just take it from Taylor… and me.
We’re happy, free, confused, and lonely in the best way. It’s miserable and magical, oh yeah.

You know how there are many that think that there is a Taylor Swift for every occasion, well I am one of those people. Taylor can always save the day with a catchy lyric or two. I know on multiple occasions I have wanted to scream “YOU SPEAK TO MY SOUL.” I mean who hasn’t danced like a crazy person to “You Belong With Me”?
Like my post Monday, here is my next two cents on the upcoming “holiday”. Us single ladies, or gentlemen, know what I am saying. In this T.Swift song, she is singing about that oh so wonderful vicious circle that we all seem to be caught up in. We meet someone, we talk, we fall. Then we don’t know what the hell to do. We all have that crush, whether we like to admit it or not, as painful as it may seem as “Singles Awareness Day” approaches.
I can honestly say that I am in this situation. I have put off feelings for anyone for a long time as I put my life back together. So, that bubble that has been sitting at the bottom of my heart is starting to expand, I blame Downton Abbey (haha). As Taylor says, “Please don’t be in love with someone else,” I say it to you. I doubt even “you” knows who they are, but there is a “you”. In the spirit of Saint Valentine, you that I want to be the one waiting for you.(That’s a lot of you.)
Take a chance this holiday season. You can always blame it on the sugar… or T.Swift.

I’m not the biggest fan of those who say that Taylor Swift sings about the same thing all the time. Sure, she sings a lot about love, but why the hell not? But who would not want to sing about love all the time. She gives a soundtrack to my life, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. Her music makes people happy, and in this time when all people do is complain, what is wrong with a little bit of happiness? She is quality and I wish that I was as talented as her.
